D.R.M. News: Newsletter of the Draft Resistance Movement
Imprint
Draft Resistance Movement, Melbourne, February 1968
Abstract

N.d, circa late February 1968.
With the Youth Campaign against Conscription (YCAC) now defunct, the DRM formed on February 5, 1968 with a decidedly more action-oriented and confrontational approach. Demonstrations were held at Swan Street Army Barracks (February 7) and at Caulfield Town Hall (February 13 -against new Prime Minister Gorton). DRM was intended to be an umbrella for anti-conscription groups (e.g the YLA, the Young Socialist League, the university labour clubs, former YCAC activists). - [Ken Mansell]
