Abstract

Flier advertising the premiere screening of "Fight For Country: the Story of the Jabiluka Blockade", a documentary film of the 1998 campaign to stop a second uranium mine in Kakadu National Park. The film was written and directed by Pip Starr and produced by Bill Runting. The campaign was one of the largest land rights campaigns Australia had ever seen. Short films to be shown on the night, including "Irati Wanti" and "Watch the Gap" are also advertised. Screening was to be held at Cinemedia in East Melbourne on 23 August 2001.
