Details
A minister of the Primitive Methodist Church, North Adelaide, Gilmore founded the Society for the Study of Christian Sociology and also a group called the Christian Commonwealth for the assistance for the needy.
He saw the Single Tax as a peaceful method to achieve socialism. Socialism itself he described as 'the law of God'.
