Details
The Australian Church was founded by Charles Strong in 1884. Strong was a Presbyterian minister who had been charged with heresy due to his liberal theology. The Church had a strong commitment to social justice and was active in the anti-conscription campaigns during the first world war. The church was dissolved in 1957.
