The journal Intervention was produced by Melbourne left-wing intellectuals associated mainly with the left tendency of the Communist Party of Australia. This editorial reflects the views of the first editorial group: Mick Counihan, Elizabeth Elliott, David Evans, Grant Evans, Stuart Macintyre, Phillip Moore, John Playford, Kelvin Rowley, John Schmid.
