Reports on a lecture given by Catherine Spence at the Unitarian Chruch in Melbourne in 1906. The article notes that in the lecture she attacks the "competative system" as a system which breeds plutocrats and proletarians, and argues that the true Christian ideal is the democratic ideal. The author of the article then draws attention to the Australian Church as the church that would satisfy Miss Spence's ideal.
