Abstract

This cartoon booklet was produced nationally by the Communist Party of Australia for the 1958 federal election. This is the South Australian version with the SA Branch 'how to vote' card. This card featured Elliot Johnston who was to become the only communist to serve as an Australian judge - in the Supreme Court of South Australia. He also presided over the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody (1987-91).
